Hi, I’m Ruth and I live in Essex (in a London Borough), UK with my husband Tony and our 9 year old son Joshua (who doesn’t like crafting at all!!!). We share our home with a motley assortment of animals. We currently have Popcorn and Pickles (cats), Da Beast (cute, fluffy hamster!), Mr Gerbil (yep, you guessed that one!), Gramarion, Darth and Yoda (the guinea pigs) and Gwim Weaper (the lizard).

I’ve been cardmaking “seriously” since about September 09 – and have moved on alot with the help of tips, hints and just lots of nosing at other people’s blogs! I don’t think I have developed a style yet and its still all about learning and experimenting – I wonder if anyone feels that they have stopped learning and experimenting in the crafting world – or indeed life! Before cardmaking, I played around with alot of crafts – including cross stitch – but feel that paper is my main love. I am currently trying to learn how to patchwork quilt and also playing around with fused plastic.

I work full-time for our local library service – I have so much fun in my job as my team work to promote our services and reading generally. It can be very busy at times, but I still seem to find time to craft. I am steadily building up my stash at home -my crafting space is our table so I have to tidy away and have been banned from exceeding one cupboard – I just love discovering all the yummy goodies in the crafting world! At the moment, my main love is digi stamps – I just love their versatility! I am just so excited to be a Princess for Doodle Palace and can’t wait to play!
